Amika

Amika is a venture I'm really excited about. Laura, Lucy, Peggy and I were brought together by a desire to try something a bit different and to use the amazing medium of the string quartet to explore and learn. We are a crossover quartet who are passionate about exploring the versatility of the string quartet in all genres and merging it with our classical knowledge. With numerous performances at the Manchester Jazz Festival already and with ongoing collaborations with highly acclaimed artists such as Alice Zawadski, Stuart Macullum and Steve Berry, we are very excited about what the future holds.

Performances have included Ben Cottrell's premiere of New Seeing at the 2016 MJF, recording with jazz singer Ben Cox for his latest album, a recital at the MJF with Stuart Macullum, a recital at the Chorlton Arts Festival and an intimate concert with the beautiful Alice Zawadski at the Wonder Inn.
